Contact your GP or healthcare provider if you experience: Severe or persistent vomiting particularly if unable to keep down fluids for more than 24 hours, as this increases the risk of dehydration and acute kidney injury Severe abdominal pain especially if constant, worsening, or radiating to the back, which may indicate pancreatitis (a rare but serious complication) Signs of dehydration including dark urine, dizziness on standing, reduced urination, or extreme thirst Persistent diarrhoea lasting more than 48 hours or accompanied by blood Symptoms of gallbladder disease such as right upper abdominal pain, particularly after eating, with or without jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes) Hypoglycaemia symptoms if taking Ozempic alongside insulin or sulfonylureas, watch for shakiness, sweating, confusion, or palpitations Visual changes blurred vision or other eye problems, particularly in patients with pre-existing diabetic retinopathy Allergic reactions rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing Seek immediate medical attention (call 999 or attend A&E) if you experience: Severe, unrelenting abdominal pain with vomiting (stop taking Ozempic if pancreatitis is suspected) Signs of severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) Severe dehydration with altered consciousness When your GP is unavailable and you need urgent advice, contact NHS 111
